COTTON SAMPLES STARTED TO FLOW OUR COTTON FIBRE ANALYSIS LABORATORY
Within the scope of the Single Baler System, the distribution of sampling equipment to 50 pilot ginning companies in DiyarbakÄ±r and ÅžanlÄ±urfa provinces was started on August 28, 2018. The equipment set was comprised of 1 Transportable Weighbridge, 1 Precision Scale, 3 Sampling Knives, 1 Barcode Printer, all of the equipment were delivered to the representatives of the ginneries.
On September 24, 2018, a meeting was held in GAPUTEM premises for the representatives of ginneries in DiyarbakÄ±r. In the meeting, they were informed about the use of theÂ www.gapcotton.org
Â portal and the usage of the barcode printer. The opinions and suggestions of the representatives about the structure and operation of the portal were obtained and access to the portal was provided by assigning a private username and password to each ginnery. The second session of the meeting was held on the ÅžanlÄ±urfa Commodity Exchange and the same training was given to the representatives of the ginneries.
Starting from October 10, 2018, cotton samples have been collected from the ginneries in DiyarbakÄ±r and ÅžanlÄ±urfa for the purpose of laboratory analysis. Our sample picking vehicles are available to take samples from the ginneries in DiyarbakÄ±r every day; and also they are available every two days for ÅžanlÄ±urfa.
